Rabbi Yosef Polter Chastises an Unrepentant Newton School Committee (May 13, 2019)

After having valiantly challenged the Jewish members of the Newton School Committee to recant their silent support for anti-Israel curriculum in Newton high schools on the eve of Yom Kippur 2018, Rabbi Yosef Polter forcefully followed up on his first chastisement at the May 13, 2019 meeting.

Telling the committee that Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein of the Chabad Synagogue of Poway (whose members were terrorized by an anti-Jewish shooting spree on April 27, 2019) was actually his brother-in-law — whose daughter had married Polter’s son, and who were both witness to the slaughter that day — Polter harangued the committee for continuing to allow anti-Jewish curriculum to be taught in its schools at a time of such perilous danger for Jews the world over. It is in this context, the rabbi argued, that the public high schools of Newton, Massachusetts, have been indoctrinating students — many of them Jewish — with enmity towards the State of Israel and the Jewish people themselves.
