Descale light, not turning off after descaling, Keurig slim

Here's the REAL fix:
Put some black tape over the descale light. You're welcome. 👍

You have to press 8oz and 12oz together while the unit is OFF. This will light the "descale" light solid. This is Descale mode.

Then, add your descale product (I use vinegar), hit the "K", and run until add water comes on.

Then add water to fill line and run again, hitting the "K" button until add water comes on again. Then, the descale button automatically goes off and you've descaled!!

Hummmm I got it to work after reading a lot of the comments.
This is what worked for me.
01. Unplug the unit from electrical power
02. Press and hold the eight and ten ounce buttons simultaneously.(7 o’clock and 5 o’clock positions)
03. While holding Dow the eight and ten ounce buttons plug the unit back into electrical power.
04. Release the eight and ten ounce buttons.
05. The large “K” center button should be flashing and the power light button should be on.
06. Put the largest cup that will fit on the cup holder (shelf ?)
07. Press the large”K” (it center it should be flashing )
08. Keep cycling cups through until the “Add Water” lite comes on.
09. Add water to the capacity of the unit.
10. Place empty cup back on shelf.
11. Lift the handle and close back down
12. Press the desired measurement the press the “K” in the center.
13. The unit should now have the “Descale light off”
14. Was able to brew a cup with the “Descale” light off.

Alternatively method that most likely won’t work but will get quizzical looks or laughs from your family.
01. Unplug the unit.
02. Obtain a rubber chicken(Amazon?)
03. Plug the insolent unit back in while swing the rubber chicken in a circle over your head.
04. Start chanting gibberish.
05. Continue gibberish and hope on one foot then the other.
06. Stop hopping and chanting.
07. Place the rubber chicken on the counter.
08. Ignore the “Descale” light (assuming you have used the descale product correctly) and brew a cup of coffee/tea.
09. Place a strip of electrical tape over the “Descale” light (same method that was used on various electronic device back in the day)
10. When the brewed coffee/tea gets to tasting bad descale once again.

I called keurig. Lol. Apparently when the descale light comes on this just tells you to do it. You have to turn off keurig( NOT UNPLUG), press 8oz and 10oz buttons at the same time. The decade button will light up. Descale it then. ( pressing the K button only each time)
I thought I was in descale mode because the light was blinking😂😂 3 days wasted 😢😢

You don’t have to refill to the full line second time around. Just put in enough additional water to turn off the “add water” message then proceed as described.

For the last 3 times the I ‘descaled’ my Keurig machine, the DESCALE light WOULD NOT go out.  I have been using the Amazon pick for descale solution and in spite of my best efforts I could not eliminate that damn light.  I have been timing the 30 minute ‘rest’ period recommenced -if you have time, to no avail.

However, this last time I had the solution added to about half the water they recommend and then got distracted and the 30 minute ‘rest’ cycle went on for just over an hour.  That said, I finished the ‘Descale’ mode & at the end the light WENT OUT!!!  I couldn’t believe it.

I did that and plugged it back in. Turn the ON button on and Descale light flashes again.
