How To Use Hollow Knight Mod Installer 2 (Need Latest Version FIX)

After this video was made Hollow Knight has been updated to a new version 1.5xx. Rather than down patch to use mods it is now easier to just use the new scarab mod installer. Check out Fireb0rn's video here:

Note not all mods on Mod installer 2 are available on the Scarab mod installer

Hollow Knight mods are pretty easy to use but there has been an update to Hollow Knight a couple months back. This 'broke' the way the Hollow Knight Mod Installer works.

The Hollow Knight Mod Installer and Mod installer 2 both work for Hollow Knight Version 1.4.3.2. Those installers think that version 1.4.3.2 is the latest version of Hollow Knight which is not true.

Hollow Knight was updated to version 1.5.x.x a little while back. If you have the real latest version, the mod installer will say " "You need the latest version".

The way to work around this for mod installer 1 and 2 is to down patch Hollow Knight which I will show you in this video.

Some mods are not available on the scarab mod installer that are available in the Hollow Knight Mod Installer 2. This video will show you how to down patch Hollow Knight and make it so you can play mods using the mod installer 2.

That said, most mods are available on the current patch of Hollow Knight.
The easier way to use mods is to download the most up to date version of the Scarab Mod installer found in the Hollow Knight Discord and play on the current patch of Hollow Knight.

I just replayed hollow knight a couple of weeks ago.. and was thinking of looking through the mods.. perhaps you could make a short list of mods to try.. something like:
"So you've played through hollow knight a couple of times and now want to blow new life into the game, try these 3 to 5 mods will change the game and give you a new adventure"
