I've come to understand the conception behind both Zeri and Neon to be that some artists accidentally created a Filipino lightning girl and couldn't decide which game to put her in, so they put her in _both_ . Luckily for me, I find both of them endearing and cool.

For the zeri and neon being similar, it's actually because zeri was meant to represent the positive charge while neon is the negative one. Bandages on their faces indicate that.

In hindsight, zeri is really joyful while neon's a bit reserved

zeri being the positive charge (the + patch on her face) and neon being the negative charge (the - patch on her nose) brings me a small sense of joy. but that's gonna be the last of riot making matching champs-agents in both games 😅

I like her, but I wish she was set apart from Ekko a bit more. She seems to be in that same "ragtag kid fighting for this run down community" vein, but she has lightning powers instead of time powers and more of an upbeat personality than Ekko.

That's about all that really separates her thematically and it's just not good enough to make her stand out IMO, as much as I love some details of her design (like her huge coat or how she's Filipino-coded).

Look, I understand that a model must be streamlined for comprehension. I really do. But I feel like apart from the gun, so little was touched on the lightning idea. Give me a big tesla coil on her back, some weird array of batteries that she has to keep a backup in case her powers stop working like we saw in the cinematic. Just a little more would have done fine.

I think it could do with more asymmetry in her design and maybe some more jittery animations, right. Right now it doesn't really scream ELECTRICITY or STREET KID.
Overall still a pretty cool design, but i think it falls a bit short on implementing her story.
