Advocacy groups say YouTube is collecting kids' data

Some advocacy groups are criticizing YouTube, saying the site is illegally collecting data on underage users, and have filed a complaint with US officials. CNN's Samuel Burke has the details.

To protect them, would be to require 2 - 3 pieces of valid ID at the door, to easily regulate what determines a new user account signup process will allow access to, while surfing through the over 1.5 billion dollar advertising revenue per year YouTube digitized structure.

User data collection shouldn’t be a thing at all. It’s all for targeted advertising but it opens up a way for people to hack, spread malware, etc.

Lol, YouTube knows plenty of parents plop their kids down with YouTube on autoplay. There are tons of nonsense, algorithm-generated content aimed at these kids wasting advertiser $s, and YouTube turns a blind eye
