I'm just assuming you're a mac user since you're using iMovie. Would you recommend mac users to get this camera? I've heard some rumors saying that mac doesn't support AVCHD format which is the format the videos recorded by the NEX-5n are in.

I am trying to decide between this camera and the JVC GC-PX10. I know the Sony has the lens adaptability issue advantage. The JVC captures up to 50 still images per second, and has 300fps slow motion capability. I coach in Europe 4 months out of the year with their Olympic programs. So I am wondering, considering slow motion or still frame sequences being important to me, what you would recommend under $1000?

Great video but I have found that almost any camera shines when filming a large aquarium. Must be the lighting

watching this in 1080p really brings out the noise, the part with the penguin looked absolutely horrible. It was so grainy it looked pixilated.
