Observing Hakka's confusion about people thinking him being more outgoing than he actually is has me remembering how even an introvert like me can suck and have sucked at understanding my own kind and even worse, which I realized while facing audience tensions about Grandpa's anxiety issues. I've known about that confusion before while following Kiara, but like most of us, I was more inclined to the idea that people like that gave themselves too little credit most of the time. And even if they are, I still feel like the credit we ask them to give themselves is usually freaking excessive. Makes us come off as sycophants sucking up to them out of desperation and obsession rather than supporters who inspire our fellow unique lives with our own ups and downs. And yeah, I know this is a pretty heavy response to what seems to be a more positive talk, but I guess I might be trying to deal with what we call "toxic positivity" here?
