iPhone 4 vs. iPhone 3G Start Up Test

This is a start up speed test between the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3G. The iPhone 4 boots up much faster than the iPhone 3G. Both iPhones are on iOS4.

@yiyopr1 you do know what OS4 does, right? because that does not look jailbroken at all. have you ever jailbroke an iPhone or Touch?

Did you do a hard shutdown on them?
My 3GS takes about 10-15 seconds if you do a proper shutdown (slide to power off)

@yiyopr1 u can't get custom backgrounds on the iPhone with any firmware update unless it's jailboken!!!!

@iPhoneSmiles97 The new iOS software does not give background wallpapers for the iphone 3G, that feature was only included for the 3GS and the iphone 4. The new version that came out a few days ago (4.1) does give this feature to the 3G, but it previously didn't have it. Do your research dude...

The iPhone 3G is not jailbroken. It's running on the new iOS4 software, which lets it have a background. So it is a fair test.

@TheMushyRoms 3G stands for 3G Network actually, considering the fact that the 3G was the second generation, and that it was the first to support 3G speeds.

The iphone 3G in version 4.0 (the version installed at the time of filming this video) does NOT allow homescreen wallpapers, apple didn't allow the feature because IT SLOWED THE PHONE DOWN. Jailbreaking, however, allows us to use homescreen wallpapers.

@DeathPunch4000 You can do 8GB aswell. My 3G is 8GB on 4.1. But yeah it is easy to update the software

@Scrubs9393 it IS jailbroken, because once you see his homescreen, you can tell the background is of a picture, which you can do only if you jailbreak it. Of it's not jailbroken, the background on the homescreen would be just black.

@1superalex he probabley just updated the software to 4.0 or to 4.1 you can do it on your computer if it is higher than an 8 gigabyte
