Lifan 15 hp 420cc from Home Depot

Just bought this same engine on Amazon for $280. It just went back up to $360. Using this in a 92 ez go golf cart.

Ive got a mud motor built off this exact engine, performs great. Do you have any idea how to wire it up so the stater is recharging my battery? theres nothing about it in the manual

i got the same exact engine. planting to put it on a go kart.i havnt opened it yet. its sitting in a box waiting for spring. how is it so far?
what battery do you need for the starter? a 6v or 12v?

It's 12 V, I think a motorcycle or garden tractor battery would work for you. It doesn't need much

I'm gonna put one of these on an old junk motorcycle to make it an automatic bike. I wonder if that key would rattle out though. Will it still run if you take it out. Maybe I'll just wire it to the electric start button on the bike and get rid of the original setup.

why could the chinese not copy the old Tecumseh 12hp that came off the sears suburban tractors? That was one hell of a good reliable and strong pulling engine.

That's weird, my Harbor Freight and their website lists this engine at $349 on sale.

Lifans are a higher quality engine than the rest...except for Honda of course, which they are all copies of. Lifan is one of the largest companies in the world. From small engines to large industrial trucks, cars, motorcycles, etc. They are not related to Loncin. Lifan is a higher quality engine than most other clones.
