This was exactly what I needed to hear! I’m dealing with an adult son in excruciating pain who lives with me and my ex-husband (who moved into help & quite a negative being. He is equally very helpful). My son has dealt with his chronic pain for 20 years, but the last 9 mos have been grueling. It’s a difficult thing to watch. He’s my son no matter how old he is. Lifting myself up is still my decision and when it gets too hard to bear I can change my reaction to it. I no longer watch the regular news. I research all of those doing miraculous things on or planet. It doesn’t always work but I’m trying. That’s what counts. Taking action which isn’t always easy is my goal. I made the mistake of watching the news for the week before the US election- and the day after that I had a terrible headache for the entire day. I thought I “should” know a bit of what’s happening- the only thing that helped was walking in the woods, where there is no mind, no thinking. Thus knowing that every person has a different belief system. Thank you for validating so much more than I’ve commented on here.
