I mispoke and made an error at the start of the video. When I was talking about normal functionality when NOT using the experiemental features in Minecraft 1.20, you can get enchanted books (including a Mending one) at any level of a Librarian when trading - not just at Master Rank. You can get Novice Rank villagers with a Mending book as a trade but it is rare since there are so many enchanted books to choose from.

Extra Info: If you have not traded before with a villager, you can cycle trades by breaking and placing the lectern to reinitialise the trades for the villager. Trades are locked however when you trade with the villager the first time.

With the experimental features turned on however, my tutorial is correct

Right out of the gate, you’re wrong. You do not have to max out a librarian to Master level to get mending pre-experimental. In fact at Master level you don’t even get an enchantment, the last one is found at Expert. It’s totally random, you could get mending at Apprentice level. Just break the lectern and replace until it pops. Unless you trade the librarian changes its Novice trade and won’t lock until you trade.

You can just build a mob trap in swamp biome and waiting for zombie villager to spawn and when he spawns stop the trap and cure him and you will get a swamp villager and cheap prizes

In bedrock survival I got a mending by breaking the lecturn and putting down again got mending 3rd try and then didn’t make trade lost it and been trying for hrs to cycle it back

It looks like they're adding mending books to loot tables in the ancient city, and I think you've always been able to get mending books from fishing, and you can get mending from enchanting in general. Those are all random chance methods of getting mending. To be guaranteed you get mending, this is the way. But it's not like mending doesn't exist in the game anymore without swamp villagers. A mending book is a carrot on a stick, and now mahjong is using that carrot on a stick to force people to explore more.

You don't need to be in the biome for the trade. just have the biome spefifc villager. When breeding it's a coin flip weather the child will be native to the biome or inherit the biome type of it's parents.

I must be super unlucky because I have 4 swamp master librarians and none have the book mending lol

I just fully upgraded a villager in the swamp, made sure he was a swamp villager, and did not get mending. It just sold me a name tag. Is this happening for everyone else, or am i just unlucky?

So basically, with Villager Trade Rebalances enabled, the Mending book becomes exclusive to a swamp villager, and regular villagers would never trade on, right?

I just got mending within 5 minutes of constantly breaking and placing a lectern near a villager and looking for good trades....Seems pretty effective. I got other good enchants as well like channelling and other max level enchants. It's important to note that I have experimental features turned off. I just barely escaped this update since I'm new to Minecraft and can therefore confirm it works in 1.20.2 ( provided that you have "experimental features" marked off)
