Very interesting discussion. As a seeker of knowledge for decades, i have welcomed every rare opportunity to study with scholars, and still hold out hope for a more comprehensive traditional training, but mastering Arabic Fusha has been the biggest challenge. Women with families - like me- may also have a greater difficulty. Here in Australia we have over 70 'Islamic schools' - many with more than 1, 000 students - but very limited teacher training in Islam, and majority non- Muslim teachers. There is a huge opportunity here..

I'lm as sarf is not only morphology, but morphosemantic, because the morphology affects the meaning. Example, FaTiHa means Opening, and miFTaH means Key, root FTH. Anyone who needs to learn arabic must start with this science, it avoids to fall in the traps of translations found in dictionaries.
