Mabon Celebrations Traditions and Rituals for Todays Witchcraft

Mabon is a wonderfully easy celebration, give thanks, have a feast, admire your accomplishments from the last few months. It is the sit back and relax with your friends sabbat, a calming eye of the storm before we reach the chaos that will be Samhain,

I enjoy this time of balance and harmony - taking stock and looking at what we have done, means that I can also look to the future and see what should be done. The worlds energy is a drawing in type and that is so me, sitting on the sofa and curling up - or drawing in with the season.

I love your videos! As a pagan teen in a Christian household who can’t buy any pagan books or anything for fear of getting in trouble, and has to keep my research online, you help me learn so much!

Lovey video as always, Ginny! Here in the states Thanksgiving actually occurs after Samhain, it is the last Thursday of November. The closest national holiday to Mabon over here would be Labor Day, which is the first monday in September, but thats still a bit of a stretch. Nonetheless, it still is my personal marker for 2nd Harvest celebrations and getting excited for the Equinox/equilux. 😊🫶🏼 In fact, im having 5 or 6 coven friends come round on 9/22 to make witch bells to celebrate. Blessed be!

My grandparents celebrated Dozynki before WWII in Poland as a harvest autumn festival in their villages. The Church definitely absorbed the old ways and hosted the grain festivities. It's a bit of a shame that it's not celebrated in the US.

If you’re on the market for a new camera might i suggest the dji osmo pocket 3? I just got one and it films amazing quality footage though it’s quite delicate, not waterproof or anything. The osmo action 4 is built like a tank and is waterproof if you’re more active with your filming. Either way i hope you can get a new camera soon ❤

love this time of year, was on a walk in the forrest and found some really good mushroms. The first day one could really feel the autumn, the air was crisp and clear. I'm always trying to find the Norwegian ancient equal to your pagan history. Right no I am reading a book about whichcaft in hisory, very interesting.
I lost my little dog this summer, she was bitten by a snake, I belive she visited me yesterday. I had a bad headache, and fell asleep on the sofa. I woke by the feeling someone was stepping on the sofa close to my legs. She used to jump up and lie behind my knees when I was resting or sleeping on the sofa. It made me smile, I miss her so.

Lovely exploration of the meaning of Mabon, thank you! In Canada, we have Thanksgiving in mid October and it is a harvest celebration, nothing to do with pilgrims etc. as that is not our history. Besides, if we waited until late November there would already be snow in many places! It's a beautiful time of year everywhere, but especially in eastern Canada, with brilliantly coloured leaves, red, gold, orange and yellow.
