This winter semester (2016-2017) I am giving a course on quantum field theory. This course is intended for theorists with familiarity with advanced quantum mechanics and statistical physics. The main objective is introduce the building blocks of quantum electrodynamics.

Here in Lecture 17 we solve the quantum Dirac field.

Thanks for the excellent lecture, professor!
At 54:00 the signs of the commutators are wrong:
[H, a] = - w a
[H, b+] = w b
The easiest way to check it is by considering that [H, A] = (energy after applying A - energy before applying A) * A, and arguing that creation operators give positive contribution to the energy of the state.

8:50. Don’t you have to change the definition of time ordered product to include an extra minus sign for that to work?
