It makes sense why it was changed in super because he was exposed to a new level of power and was once again in the position of a student of the gods. This is evident even more when Whis wrote his mark on his gi along with Vegeta

To be slightly fair, when Goku and Vegeta were being trained by Whis, Whis did put his mark on both of their clothing as a to let them know that he's the master and they are his students.

I like that Super changed this, because Super is when Goku realizes that there is more to learn, and that he could still get stronger

This was the exact moment when goku became Gokunberg

Goku training you: you strong
vegeta training you: "First of all, I am Vegeta."

Kinda makes sense goku added his Kanji back since he's once again a student under Whis and whis wrote his symbol on goku during the granolah arc so it wasn't forgotten

Well in super goku is a student again. Kinda make sense why he would drop his buu gi. Goku continued to learn from others throughout super. You can never be too old to learn new things and i love that goku is a perfect example of that.

I mean a true master knows there is always more to learn.

I like the unique identifier. It's cool, and Super isn't wrong for having it since it's a small detail.

They didn't "drop the concept" he just began training under Whis, therefore he once again had a master.

Goku's Gi looks better with the kanji. Plus you should always show appreciation and respect to the masters who got you to where you are.

He wears teal at the end of Z because he has become an expert master. This is further supported at the beginning of GT because of the clothing that Uub is wearing.

super is all about goku finding out he still has so much power to learn, so it’s kinda smart to give him a new kanji

"Dragon Ball super dropped this concept"

Bro you forgot Whis?

Im gonna play Dabura's Advocate here.

Before Super, yes, Goku's symbolism to Mastery makes sense. BUT when he met Lord Beerus, he found out that there was a realm of power still lying beyond. So when he recieved Divine Ki, it would make sense that he would have a symbol on his gi (kanji for "God" I think), because this is uncharted territory.

I just wish they actually KEPT that outfit, but I digress...
