Nami is no Gold Digger, it's a difference between being a Gold Digger and just having a obsession over treasure, gold and jewels. A Gold Digger is a term to describe someone who engage in a RELATIONSHIP only for economical conveniences instead of love. That is not Nami. Here she only allowed Sanji to save her life, it's not like she took money from him to hold her.


Nami is the one in the crew who knows how to handle money the best and therefore have more money saved up than anyone else. Whenever the crew is in a big need for money Nami is the one to aid them. In Skypea the crew needed alot of money in order to not get on the bad side of the law and they said Nami had saved up money to pay for them all, she's been saving lives of the crew multible times because of the fact that she cares about money.

When Nami, Luffy and Usopp were to exchange gold for cash she saw right through the scammer and made sure they would get the right amount of money and not too little. Nami can be stingy about money but that is because she don't want money being spent on stupid things, she gave part of her treasure to Lola because of their friendship and also as a thank you for saving her from Absolom. For Nami friendship is worth more to her than GOLD. When Caime were about to be sold into slavery Nami had no problem giving away ALL her treasure in order to buy Caime back.

Nami also spent 8 long years since she were a child in order to steal treasure n' money so she could save her village, Nami have been nothing but selfless. Money is her safety net! DON'T YOU DARE COMPARE HER TO A PLASTIC GOLD DIGGER WHO ONLY GIVE SEX N' ONLY BE IN A RELATIONSHIP FOR CASH AND LUXURY. Nami don't even want to be in a relationship, not even if she were offered money for it, she would say no and steal the money instead like a pirate. Nami is only in love with adventures the same as Luffy and Sanji's flirting is not even attractive it's mostly creepy and more like sexual harassment so of course she would smack the shit out of him as he peeps at her when showering or bathing. He's not a lover to her, he's a NAKAMA!

Nami may be obsessed with money but she isn't greedy in the typical sense. We can see from her backstory that money means safety to her. If she has money, she can take care of the people she loves. She amassed thousands of berries to save her village after her mother got killed for not having enough money. She wants to use the Skypiea gold to repair Merry. She doesn't just want money for money's sake.
