Autistic people (including me) have a greater probability to display several of these features, such as hyperfocus, increased senses and high IQ. :) Society should celebrate the positive side of being autistic and provide all the needs we have to thrive and live happy and fulfilled lives, instead of pathologizing and demonizing our condition and repressing our "weird" traits.

I have high IQ, perfect pitch, and hypersensitivity (especially when it relates to hearing and touch). I am also multi-talented (music, writing, math, science, etc.). I can sense things around me without seeing them, which is very useful when it's dark. I've learned how to spar, track someone's movements, and maneuver through obstacles, all while blindfolded. I started reading at a very early age, so when I started kindergarten, I was already reading at a 3rd grade level. I had read the entire Book of Mormon cover to cover by my 8th birthday, and the Bible by my 10th. That made understanding Shakespeare so much easier once I got into junior high. Without any formal lessons, I was able to play twinkle twinkle little star on the violin just from observing my brother practice the song once (my mom put me in violin lessons shortly after because I was using my brother's violin more than he was).
