This is absurdly good. Most of the "remaking a retro 2d game in 3d" videos are too concerned about being absolutely faithful, that they don't truly ADAPT the game. This feels like an adaptation, not to mention how good it looks, which is another thing I don't see a lot of effort put into. Sucks that these videos are so rare but that's the price of quality. Keep cooking man.

Unironically you should do the rest of the game like this. You already got a lot of the grunt work done with what you'd expect in the game. And other then underwater shenanigans, ghost houses, some enemies/backgrounds and the bosses/castles, you are all but already mostly there to knock out most of the game.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people would play a full 3d version of SMW, with the kind of effort you have put into this already.

I'm blown away by how incredible this looks! Normally, voxel versions of sprites tend to look really awkward, if not outright ugly unless you view them from exactly the right angle. But you perfectly encapsulate the whimsical cartoon style of Super Mario World, and you even had some really clever solutions to seamlessly transition the levels from 2D to 3D! Absolutely insane work, man!
