I recently developed pssd from quitting my Celexa after 7yr of use. I have complete genital numbness, but far worse is the anhedonia, emotional blunting and cognitive impairment I have to live with. I also can't experience hunger, thirst or tiredness. My mind is blank and I can't form pictures in my mind. My entire life has been stolen from me. I'll gladly take my depression back any day over this

Thank you so much for raising awareness for PSSD.
But PSSD is so much more than sexual dysfunction. I lost all my emotions due to this condition, which is even harder to Deal with as it affects my life 24/7. Next to the loss of my genital sensitivity and libido, its the worst nightmare.

You are a HERO doctor, i was prescribed escitalopram in year 2006.and i took it for 3 months for.majkr depression after that i can no longer tolerate any type of anti depressant and it has turned me into zombie with bipolar and psychosis symptoms and made my body sensitive to anything that i eat. fast forward my skin is till like a rubber until today. escitalopram destroyed my life

The anhedonia is the worst, not sexual things... the name should be better for that condition! Tho not all have anhedonia, but most maybe idk? Then there should be two conditions and names

Can it cause seizures too? Which i would only get with ejaculation
I havent had in like a year but i have ED and im only 29
