Gorillaz is an animated band. They were created by Damon Albarn (from Blur) who has invited various artists in the past.

There's a lot of nostalgia for this song around. I saw someone complaining in a game chat a couple of years ago, and they finished with, "I'm not happy." I replied with, "I'm feeling glad. I got sunshine in a bag." Suddenly, 5 of us were all taking turns typing out the whole thing!

Hi, the reason that they keep with the " animated style " is that they're actually a " virtual " band ..There are only 2 members - Damon Albarn ( from 90s Britpop band BLUR ) and his friend - comic artist Jamie Hewlett ( creator of Tank Girl ) . Albarn collaborates with various musicians, Hip-Hop and Dub artists and producers to get the very unique and recognisable sound of the " band " .

I'll never be bored watching two scenes: 1) generation X geezers reacting modern bands 2) generation Z youngsters reacting old bands =) Gorillaz got a bunch of cool songs, yeah. But you can check out a movie based on comics drawn by their creator - some crazy shit called "Tank Girl" ;)
