Back in 2001, Del wanted more money to perform the song live, but the group wasn't willing to pay him so much, so he took off along with the rights to use the lyrics.

what is not realized here is that... Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of the CLASH playing here on bass and guitar. Paved the way for rap and different styles of music to merge together

I love Gorillaz and all, and this is my favorite song by them, but... Del is what made it. Still good but not anywhere near as good with Del :/
