Soloing Alatreon was one of the most pleasing feelings I had thoughout the entire game. It feels so good to come out on top in a intense fight like this one after so many attempts.

Well now that was the most menacing dish washing i've ever experienced

1:46 hit me in ways I couldn’t imagine a classically-arranged piece ever could. Watching my Switch Axe phials erupt all over this magnificent beast’s legs, a Light Bowgunner unloading shots into the horns, a Great Sword cleaving the other side, and an Insect Glaive user gracefully flying through the air slicing the wings. All with the swelling, delicate melody on the violins finally erupting into grandiose chords filled to the brim with tension. Never has a track made me feel like such a badass. Now if only I could find a group that could consistently hit that elemental threshold...

Having been carted by this beast time after time, it felt amazing when I finally beat him solo.

Dang... Can't believe its been 3 full years. I remember staying up late just to fight this thing, little did I know, it would be another month before I actually ended up beating it. This was the hardest boss I've ever faced, because it forced me to learn the game more, it pushed me out of my comfort zone, and because of that, it was also the most satisfying boss I've ever faced, and it's up there with Slave Knight Gaal with one of my favorite video game experiences. I started out hating it, but I look back fondly at the lesson it taught me, and the incredible experience it provided.
