Michelle takes us on a tour of her gorgeous Tiny Container Home, which is located in a Tiny House Village in Tennessee. As a single parent, she always struggled with finances. So when she became and empty-nester, it was time for her to downsize and finally achieve financial freedom. She now lives happily surrounded by others living a similar lifestyle.

This is one of the most well done tiny homes I have seen. From layout to the furnishings and outdoor space. The use of a pantry and tv stand that are not deep contribute to the feeling of space. As does the patio off the living room. Michele has done a fabulous job making it a 'home'.

I am South African. I am a registered nurse. I was a single mum of three. I can’t tell you how I identify with you. I worked 60-70 hours a week and I also ran a home based chocolate business. When I was 45, my children were 21, 17 and 9. I was so exhausted and I was in the process of losing my house and I knew I couldn’t do it for much longer. I took a job in the Netherlands for a year, leaving my children in the home with my niece and her partner. My sisters and mum kept an eye. It was the only way I knew, to save myself and my children. I sent most of my money back home. A year later I returned to south Africa. I got a job in Australia and took my youngest child, leaving my two oldest to finish their university degrees. I am now a dual citizen in Australia. My three children 43, 40 and 31 are educated, self sufficient and well. I married an Australian. My youngest son bought us a beautiful brand new house and we use our savings to travel. What I want to tell you is that your sacrifices are not in vain. It has made you stronger and you have an inner peace. I wish you well as you continue this journey.

When you mentioned people saying you have less stuff, Well what you said it is true you have plenty. I think many Americans have way more than they need. Many Americans have rooms in their houses they do not even sit in. Plus as we get older in life less to have to maintain is better. You have a lovely lovely home.

The Rent, Price of the Container Home, Water and Electric are phenomenal!!!! Everywhere else is so very Expensive. I’d love to have the same peace of mind she has. But I can’t leave my Family in Texas. 💕🙏🏼
