First Flight | Epic Steampunk Airship Battle Music | Sons of Khernan Music
Показать описание
First Flight - an original piece of Meslen music by the Sons of Khernan.
Lore of the song:
Âylaftik, or airships, became part of the Meslen military very soon after their invention. Flying vehicles proved extremely useful for all kinds of purposes--scouting, observation, messenger duty, transportation, landing troops on the battlefield, and even for actual combat. Whatever the application, no job in the military was as glamorous--or as dangerous--as flying an âylaft. Rookies often went into their first flights with all kinds of visions of adventure and glory. But it only takes one battle to disillusion an innocent mind--and the first battlefield flight of a combat pilot is a baptism by fire. A rookie would quickly be awoken to the reality of the horrors of war and the peril that his ship, and indeed his very life, were constantly in. When the arrows began to fly and the pressure began to mount, rookies would usually panic and become unable to fly. For this reason, novice pilots were always sent out with veteran airmen in the seats next to them. When the inevitable panic set in, the veteran would take control of the ship and fly it to a safe distance, where the rookie could catch his breath and gather his wits. Then it was back into the fight, from which the newbie would usually emerge unharmed--but sobered--by his terrifying experience.
This is First Flight.
Enjoy!
