I think it's totally consistent with their personalities, having watched each of them for a while, that Kiara went through a couple of phases of dress and appearance, but finally being confident and comfortable in her own self and her own skin... while Fauna is also pretty comfortable in her own skin, but still LOVES dressing up. Fauna has been "geeky and girly" for a long time, while Kiara has been pursing performance and dance -- frequently reinventing her style -- for a long time.
