Timothy Garton Ash: opening lecture at Warsaw European Forum

Introductory lecture by Timothy Garton Ash of the University of Oxford at the Warsaw European Forum of 20 October 2020.

The Warsaw European Forum is a series of debates about Poland's place in Europe. The centerpiece of the forum is the online conference "Freedom in turbulent times: pandemic, liberalism and the future".

We invited publicists and scientists from the best international centers to discuss the shape of European integration, freedom, and liberalism in times of pandemic. We encourage the public to participate actively in the open discussion.
