I’m a professional voiceover engineer and music producer. That said, it’s a breath thing. Her voice goes up as she loses air. This is why she tries to use a clipped cadence in her speech pattern. Just a ....couple of words ....at time. So she can reserve her air to hit unnaturally baritone notes. An authentic baritone will be baritone even if out of breath. In the studio we edit voice-over takes a few phrases at a time to make a whole sentence when we’re trying to fake a register. We can do it so that it’s hard to tell to even a trained ear. It’s virtually impossible to fake live. Here is you example.

If I interviewed her, I’d do it at the gym or on a hike. Get her out of breath and hit record. You’d hear the natural voice come out immediately.

Lol I’m a female with a low scratchy voice- since forever. When I was a kid there were two different times I got in deep shit at school and was able to answer the landline at home when the principal called to rat me out to my parents - and convince them I was my mom. Only upside really. It’s actually kind of embarrassing. There were even a few shameful years where I pulled a reverse Elizabeth Holmes- put on voice, but higher pitched. 🤦🏻‍♀️ At least I didn’t defraud investors out of millions of dollars though.

Many years ago, I saw a commercial for ITT Technical Institute, and the guy featured in it didn't blink, either. It was weird! Some years later, when I was taking an abnormal psych class, I told my instructor about it, and he said that some people on the autism spectrum blink infrequently.

IMO - The thing that bugs me is that she is happily married to a wealthy man, and appears to have no concerns over her behavior. And I'll bet the prominent investors are ensuring that the mess never gets to court, because they are embarrassed for being such fools.

Affecting your voice isn't a "hallmark" of sociopathy; it speaks a finer line toward to elitist narcissism. That's EXACTLY what I see in her. The aggravator is that she's pretty too. That must help. She's just a narcissist version of Mr Madoff. Madoff had no mental disorder. He ended up where he was too greedy and too complacent. For too long.
