I can't believe it's been 35 years since that storm.

What a great opening line. "Today would've been a great day to stay inside and watch a good football

I remember this day vividly. You could hear tree limbs snapping near and far, sometimes it sounded like a gunshot (that distinct 'cracking' sound.) Since we didn't have power my Mom ended up cooking our Sunday roast on the BBQ grill (turned out great). In the aftermath, with all the tree limbs down and the damage they did (to houses, vehicles, the street itself), the streets in my hometown looked like a battle had been fought there. The snow/ sleet was gone in day or two, fall foliage was understandably ruined that year.

I thought it interesting when Herb was showing the stats, that the current temp in celsius was included.
