So, many people have called me out for not understanding the intended message of "Brother Bear", I do agree that I misinterpreted and exaggerated the whole "humans are evil" idea, when the true lessons were compassion & perspective. This was a different time for me as a reviewer, when I let my anger get the best of my judgement. I would be so wrapped up in justifying a worst choice, that I'd go to extra lengths to defend my picks, and I do apologise for that greatly.

However, I still think that "Brother Bear" can be preachy, it didn't need to have a scene where Kenai was staring at a cave painting of a human with a spear, while Koda said "Those people are really scary", that's overdoing the lesson of perspective. We already have enough scenes of Kenai experiencing human attacks first hand, that was all that was needed to teach him what it's like for bears to be hunted down, the cave painting scene drives this point too far.

I will review Brother Bear in it's own stand alone video one day, to give it a better chance, because many of you have made some observations that I missed, and I'm sorry again for letting my anger replace my better reason. In the 2 years since I made this video, I've been aiming to grow and mature as a reviewer, so I can avoid mistakes like this again.

Brother Bear's message isn't humans are evil at all. It's message is saying both humans and Bears have misunderstandings. They even mention in the musical number Great Spirits "we are all the same"!

I never understood the hate around Brother Bear. I love this film... Well, I really like it at least. It's one of the few Disney films without a bad guy, the scenery is beautiful, the characters are likeable (I even like the two moose). Oh well...

Lost potential? Tell me about it, that's Atlantis to me: there is a very great film inside there, if only they gave it more time to expand its universe, breathe and appreciate the lost civilisation. I still like it but Atlantis was overall too fast.

Chicken Little is only at number 3... Oh boy, what terrifyingly bad movie awaits ahead?

There is a terrible Hunchback of Notre Dame fan fiction called "Back to the Frollo" where an African-American woman (based on the writer) goes back in time to medieval Paris and falls in love with Frollo (for no reason). Oh and apparently, Frollo is a good guy and Esmeralda is evil. There are sex scenes between the main character and Frollo and shes brags on ENDLESSLY about how sexy Frollo is.

At one point in the story, she tells Frollo about "the Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus", even though he was Italian. Did I mention that the author is a Geography teacher?

Brother Bear should be at the 5 most underrated films of all time list. It's an epic, dramatic and beautiful story. Not to mention how underappreciated are the songs.

I always liked the way Brother Bear portrays the beautiful landscapes. And I’ve liked the historical accuracy of the human life.

The darkness of Black Cauldron made more sense in its original book form, and the darkness of the original novel came from the fact that it was based on Welsh myths and legends. The Chronicles of Prydain, the original book series, is famous for its character development, so it would be nice if Disney remade the film so it would be closer to the original books.

BTW, did you know there were plans for a third Rescuers movie, but was cancelled when Eva Gabor (the voice of Bianca) passed away? I myself can't help but wonder what we would have gotten out of it.

But Brother Bear's my favourite Disney film and I think Koda's adorable XD. I still really liked your take on the films though, from what I've watched of the video so far (I'm half way through but have to go off somewhere). Good job with it, and I'll watch the 5 best films when I've got time later on :).

Despite its flaws, Brother Bear has always stood out to me on being the sole reason I was introduced to bears this way. Just seeing these creatures on the screen made my little autistic brain go *WILD!*

Now, 14 years later, I’m a highly obsessed bear nerd who tries to help others understand these gorgeous creatures a little more each day.

Sure the movie can be preachy, but it still holds such a big place in my heart.

Also with Koda being annoying, he’s a bear cub. A *VERY* young bear cub. That is not even a year old brown bear cub, so yes, he’s gonna be a little annoying man😭
