Thank you, Struthy, for reacting to my suggestion. It was awesome. The instrument that got your attention is called "Daf." It is a distinguished instrument in Persian culture due to its use in Sufis spiritual rituals.
A bit about the band: their name might be easier to pronouce if it was spelled as "mojaun" with 'j' pronounced similar to its French pronunciation. The band is actually from the Khorasan region at the east of Iran (Kurdistan is at the west.)
