The HBO series ROME was pretty good. His political prowess was match only by his military skill. He was brutal, efficient, and used diplomacy anytime it was available. They still teach his tactics at the battle of Alesia in academies. He wanted the republic to last by introducing noble allies and enemies alike to the senate floor. Ofcourse he thought no man would be so disgraceful as to take a dagger on the senate floor. Boy was he wrong! 🤷‍♂️
