setting up my NEW dream home library! :)

I moved! Here's to a new chapter :) I still can't believe I was able to find a home library that looked picked out straight from my pinterest boards, and I'm so excited to go back to making reguarly sceduled weekly book videos now that I'm all moved in!

For the Juliet balcony, I think curtains would be really cute (and also nice for privacy if your bedroom is behind it) and I would also put a plant down on the balcony. Plants always work in my opinion.

I felt the same way about sticky tabs for a while too, I found that it’s really hard to annotate fictional books for me, but if you hand me a non-fiction book I will sticky tab the heck out of it, specifically the psychology of ones writings, and quotes that I could learn from others and learn stuff about myself I love looking back through old books filled with tabbed poems and quotes from my favorite memoirs and biographies and autobiographies I’ve also realized that I tend to tab more books based around nature such as the memoir of Stephen Callahan “adrift” and “into the wild” by Jon krauker two of my favorite books that I’ve ever tapped an annotated and poems wise Walt Whitman collection of poem was one of the first books I tabbed simply because how much I related to it

what a great place! so jealous! How did you find such a place! Decor wise - you need a chess set, maybe a bust, vintage bookends, maybe vintage typewriter or camera, or whatever makes you happy! Vintage library step ladder will help with the high shelves. These are just suggestions.

Lush colorful flower boxes on the balcony. Even fake ones would look good - love the dark academia vibe

I saw The Invention of Hugo Cabret on your shelf and I completely forgot about that book until now! I read the book back when I was about 10 years old and I remember it being, I'm pretty sure, the first novel I ever read!

My tabs mostly serve to mark things I want to quickly reread or go back over when processing my thoughts post book.

Other than that I mostly use them for library books I can't highlight or write in. I mark moments that I would want to start telling people around me about.

Congratulations on your new move! Your reading approach sounds rather similar to mine - as I hyper-fixate on a particular genre I tend to take out piles of books that fit into it. Love your new set-up!
