For those who are stuck on the homework because you don't have the Laplace transforms sheet mentioned in the video, you can use the fact that h(t), the impulse response, is the output when the input is the unit impulse function. Therefore, solving for the case where x(t) = 𝛿(t) will work.

I have a question regarding the Laplace Transform of a constant. So Laplace transform of a constant is inf because integral is from -inf to inf. But if we use one-sided Laplace Transform which has a range from 0 to inf, then L{c}=c/s where c is a constant.

And both one-sided and double-sided Laplace Transform gives the same result with different representations based on how we defined Laplace Transform. Simply 2u(t) in range [-inf, inf] = 2 in range of [0, inf]. Yet mathematical representations will be different.

In many sources, I see they use the second approach. So how are we supposed to figure out which one are we supposed to use?

Solution for H.W.
The system is LTI:
Laplace transform of equation is Y(S) = 1/s.X(s)
H(S) = Y(S)/X(S) = 1/s
1/s --(ILT)-->u(t)

Laplace transformation (1) =1/s
Why you take L(5) as infinity

Why are you saying the laplace transform of 2 and 5 are infinity? The laplace transform of a constant a is a/s.

What is the solution of HW problem????

It is not possible to find impulse response since lower limit is (-infinity). [1/s can be used only when lower limit starts from 0]

I have one question like: the integration upper limit is "t" in time domain. when we do same integration for LT in frequency domain, can we change the higher limit to inf. instead of 't'.

H(s)= 1/s and h(t) = unit step = u(t).
