What’s the Happy Death Day 2U movie about?
The day after her birthday, everything is finally back to normal for Tree (Jessica Rothe from Happy Death Day) who wakes up next to the boy she loves, Carter (Israel Broussard from The Bling Ring). Nevertheless, the latter's roommate, Ryan (Phi Vu), arrives in the room to tell them that he just woke up in the same place he was this morning, after being killed by a babyface killer of the university mascot. Tree then discovers that Ryan is working with two other students on a science project that caused him to get stuck in a time loop the night before. Following an explosion, Tree wakes up on his birthday for the umpteenth time. However, Tree soon realizes that many things are very different and soon understands that she is stuck in a time loop in a parallel dimension. Tree is going to have to help Ryan and his team stop this loop and get her back to her dimension while confronting the killer, who, here, does not have the same identity.
