WHY I CAN’T SUPPORT JACLYN HILL

An update on my lipsticks and my thoughts on this situation …
*In addition to everything I addressed in the video, I’m also quite upset about Jaclyn’s responses to this launch - coming after a customer on Twitter, the whole glove situation … it’s just all too much for me, personally, to support a brand and person who is okay with that behavior. I understand mistakes are made and some things are beyond our control, but this situation really takes it to a different level. As influencers, we take our reviews seriously. We take responsibility for recommending products, and I know a lot of us are very shaken up over this and the seriousness of this entire situation. I applaud everyone who's been addressing this issue; there are so many gems in this community. Thanks for watching my video.

I have supported and stood with Jaclyn for years. The way she talked to the first girl that posted about the bumps, I was shocked, it really opened my eyes because that girl had to have paid at least $24 with 1 lipstick and tax, shipping. For her to talk to that girl the way she did especially about HER PRODUCT not a Collab, this time it was about a product from her brand.
To still have no response or answers and the answers that have been given make no sense. What are coming out/are in these lipsticks, I am speechless. I can't support her no longer.
Truthfully I don't even care about the money I lost on these lipsticks (I purchased 2 Hustle and Nude AF spent $44, they do have the same batch code as everyone elses). I just want to throw them away and be done. I appreciate this video, shows that you really care.

I think what bothers me most is she hasn't recalled the lipsticks or owned up to the issue. And it's a public safety risk. Like you said, we ingest lipstick.

I have autoimmune disease and am on a biologic medication that literally shuts my immune system down. I am also severely allergic to mold as well as my 9yr old. I am SO glad the shades I wanted were out of stock when I went to order, otherwise this could have had a potentially serious or even fatal consequence to myself or my child. I am beyond disappointed in all of this with JH and her not giving a statement. I am BEYOND thankful for everyone that is speaking out.

The health issues are obviously crazy, but I haven’t heard anyone else talk about how Jaclyn has also betrayed her community of fellow influencers by putting them through this bs over and over again. Samantha, you and Nikkia Joy stay away from drama, so when I see you both making a video, I know it's bad. You seem so sad and depleted by the whole situation. It's hard when you support someone and later realize that they aren't what you thought; keep your head up. You are so appreciated in this space for your positivity and honesty...don't go changing :). It’s a sad situation all-around... for fans, customers, and JH. She should come forward with what manufacturer (and warehouse) she used because they definitely hold some accountability as well. I pray no one was/is seriously affected by this.
