I make CNC machine, which is used for automated cutting, engraving, and milling of materials like wood, plastic, and metal. It operates using stepper motors and a spindle to precisely follow computer-generated designs.

Greetings from Venezuela. Thanks for sharing. Two questions: why do you use the A4988 drivers and the motors are going to be controlled with the TB6600 drivers and why do you connect two motors to a single driver on the Y axis? I thought that what is cloned is the signal, but two drivers had to be used, one for the motor. Doesn't the two motors connected to the same driver interfere?

It would have been helpful if the size and dimensions of the 3 printed parts are mentioned

3d printed parts are too flimsy for precise cuts other than wood. Aluminium parts are muuuch stronger and give enough support. Motor mount is too weak for the makita power. It will flex a lot. Also screw-nut drive mechanism require much higher quality specialty screw and double nuts to compensate lash. It is all doable diy way but the cost will easily exceed readily available devices like Genmitsu or Foxalien. Of course diy will make great satisfaction, but dont expect fabulous cout out of that...

completely useless without the stl of the 3d printed parts
