Nice video. Blink cameras have been reliable and if you use the paid plans it works well. BUT, If you no longer want to pay each month, not so much. I ended up getting the USB chip to record local without a plan. Not good for me. To view the videos you need to remove chip and plug into your computer to see anything.
If you want a very good home system with many useful features and save monthly fees I suggest the Wyze cameras. Using the USB chip on Wyze you get to view the videos on chip from the App. In many ways I found the Wyze without a paid plan to be what I got with the Blink with a plan. So now with the money I save for not paying for plan I can now get more Wyze cameras to build up my system. Big win and I hope you look into this and maybe share what cameras a friendly to home users without needing a plan subscription.

i got the blink camera doorbell bc the model had an option for wired power (not battery only) and local storage. didnt realize local storage meant getting another device to connect to.

so the doorbell would use the wifi and save recording onto the sync module? and then if i need to pull footage i can just connect a USB drive to it and download footage onto it correct? if its thats simple then maybe ill just grab a doorbell + module.

All I want to know is, Is the sync module a substitution for a paid cloud based service? I don't want to pay a monthly subscription and would like to collect all the data on a USB drive locally.

I have a question about the lights on a module two. I have a solid blue light, and a solid yellow light below it. I've noticed on other videos that the solid blue light is on but the blinking green light below it. Why is mine a solid yellow? Any help will be appreciated.

Can I use the blink module two without the Internet? And still access the camera from my phone using the module two? What I'd really like to do is be able to take a camera when I go camping and film any wildlife that hangs around my RV at night and look at the footage later. Can I do that with this system?
