Quick access to settings is the reason Nikon beats Canon. At fashion shows I see only Canon shooters fumbling with menu settings. They lose shots because they are never ready.

The D4 is my camera of choice. I have no problems with it at all. In the field It gives me the performance and flexibility that I couldn't get before. The in built grip and huge battery for 3000+ shots is such a benefit.

With the sensor resolution be an issue for you? 16 megapixels is a pretty large step back from the D810. If doing property photography where you are using a low ISO, the D810 would at least allow for more detailed images.

I still prefer my D4 to my D750 and my D800, hands down, period. I only use the higher MP cameras when printing large 20x30 or (A1) or larger. Just for fun, carefully shoot some jpeg images at ISO 50 (or even ISO 100) and run them through your favorite software...
Great value in 2018-19... treat yourself...

Wanted to ask,
having the D700, D300 and Fuji X-T1 I'm still quite interested in trying the Fuji S5Pro.
You have owned all of these, I think. Do you thing the S5Pro still has some advantage in image rendition? Will the photos really look even better-more natural-than the D700?
And compared to other bodies?
Do you think the "low" resolution could be an issue?

Given that digital photography is now available to anyone with a mobile phone or pocket camera, are you still able to make a living from photography ?

If so, how do you do it (if this is not too personal a question) ?

Reprogram the Movie record button to change ISO function.
Get a small XQD card (16GB) for JPG backup only (only in case of failure or the SD card).

it's designed like you said to do 20 minutes of video then time to cool. but it it's good to do short movies anyway. ps did you sort your eBay problem.

This pro body is aimed at photojournalists and sports photographers hence the fps. Using the image quality button as an example here; you say why would anyone need this, you will only be shooting raw.. Well some photojournalists assignments require photos to be transferred to the press almost instantly which means they need to be shooting in jpeg and at a lower resolution for fast transfer speed. This also makes features like the white balance button necessary. Don't write something off before looking at who the camera is actually made/intended for.

Bought one with the same shutter count the other day for £1125. A little tip, don't go to WEX, MPB and any similar places. They are still charging between £1500 - £2300 for these.

mine has 76k clicks on it.. it's great.. but.. very niche these days.
Certainly crap for your usage of a camera and low DR isn't as good as d800/d810
