If you ask me Affinity Photo is taking a turn for the worse. Version 2 is now packed with intricate more or less hidden operations for doing either very subtle image editing or things that nobody really desperately needs. The whole product has become so complicated that the user only knows that about 50% of the functionality even exists, can only handle about 20% and actually uses just 5%.

This is the wrong way to go.

What we users need is AI support at all levels. For starters, AI for making selections. The product and its usage should be simplified, not complicated.
