The show itself never deserved the hate, it all could've been diverted by the creators explaining that Tater's low-level Spanish was why the show is titled the way it is. However, fuel was put into the fire by Tater's VA saying that Spanish is the colonizers language, all the while speaking English, hah.

It was more so because of the voice actress and her own drama that caused this to become hated.. It was never really the show itself

exactly. the reason why it was hated in the first place is because of taters youngest cousins name (before it was changed to lucita) being a spanish slang for something inappropriate, and the town in which it was set in is spanish for “earthquake”, right before it was changed to hacienda hills.

forgot to mention there are grammatical errors in the intro, in which tater is canonically not very good with spanish.

Yeah, I knew this show was harmless and yes, I think Primos doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

The show itself is harmless... It doesn't deserve the hate. The world is already exhausting enough...

Yeah, I don't think it deserved all the hate. It may be just okay, but at it's core, it's a pretty good show that got too much backlash.

I have a feeling that primos will ended up being a hidden gem in the future

This show actually reminds me of the old Disney cartoons and it’s not too bad. The Spanglish is very relatable 😂

Screw those haters. Primos is doing good so far since I first started watching it.

I hate everyone in the comments, there the same ones who criticized the show but now they’re here saying, “it wasn’t the show, it was the creator.” People switch sides so fast!

Side note: Some Hey Arnold staff worked on this show, including Craig Bartlett and Jim Lang, if i recall correctly

We grew up watching Maya and Miguel, El Tigre and Mucho Lucho . Honestly we had Mucho Lucho . And we couldn’t just give Primos a try?

It never deserved the hate to begin with...

...I mean look at the casagrandes... (spin-off of the loud house).

You mean to tell me people made all those rant videos and big hate posts about a show that didn’t even have an episode until NOW!?!? The grift is real good lord 😭

I really was watching all four segments like "Yeah, this show is alright, it's harmless, it's actually pretty nice."

I really do like the animation, the character work's pretty nice, and yeah everything else works as well. Itsa gooda show.

The thing I like best about it is how character focused it is; it allows itself to really sit down and let the characters naturally bounce off each other. I already see it starting to develop itself into something very sweet.

Mexican Here. Every "R4cist" or "Stereotype" in the show... Is also in Coco, so Nop, IS NOT RACIST. Everything can be Explained by the show itself. They even Reanimated and Redub the episode to fix the "Cuquita" and the "terremoto" (btw, the terremoto is people overreacting, Mexico isn´t the only country in the World with earthqueaks)
(But what Tater´s VA said yes, was Awful, Disrespectful and Stupid)

Now the show it self... Is fine, Has a good use of the characters and their emotions, Is like the disney "the Loud house" but in the good way. is not an Amphibia or Adventure time but definitly is not a bad show.
(maybe they use too much the goku reference and the fartjokes)

Another controversy is that people think it's a Loud house ripoff. Even though that's not at all what it is. They only think that because their both about big families. First off there are lots of other shows and movies about big families like cheaper by the dozen and full house which came out before the loud house and no one accused the loud house of being a rip off of them. That's like saying Spiderman is a rip off of Batman because they're both superheroes or Guardians of the Galaxy is a rip off of Star wars because they're both space adventures. Second, the creator Natasha Kline said in an interview that she grew up in a big family similar to Chris Savino. She spent a summer with her many cousins who helped shape her life and she based the show on that. The idea for it had ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION with the loud house.

Saying it doesn’t deserve “all” the hate is a little hyperbolic. But the hate was very much overblown. As things are on the internet. This show, grammatical errors and stupid names aside, looks pretty harmless. If a tad generic.
