Ringo: "Why do you gotta do things we can't even show to the audience?"
Me: *nervous screaming*
also... a 4th wall break and an innuendo... wow

"It's definitely not like Puyo Puyo Box, where you have an overworld and rip off doors..."

What a line.

Even in the sequel the story mode is still a goldmine for hilarious moments.

This was exactly the kind of review I needed--I was curious about the first one, and it was great to know that this is definitely the way to enter the series!

I love Jon so much. The end of the review is just him flexing his wealth of puzzle game knowledge

I'm definitely sold. Always been interested in the first one but never actually got it. Now seems like the perfect time to jump into the series.

Everyone is talking like Cyberpunk is the game to look forward to, but we all know its Puyo Puyo Tetris that is the real sh*t xD

The new layout for the adventure mode looks promising.

NOTE: PPT2 also has lots of save data bonuses. This does not require other games to be installed or inserted, but requires save data to be present on the system from having turned the game on at least once, I think.

"With the abilities, you can deal a ton of damage" against an AI without anything equipped. That's kind of a huge part of skill battles. But once you have high levelled characters with skills that help make free perfect clears, and having grinded for good items, yeah it can become powerful.

Anyways, I personally didn't like the auto replay feature. I can usually remember to save replays on my own, and the game doing it automatically takes up a slot out of 50. Lag at some points is also an issue pointed out. Otherwise, nothing too bad about the game.

This video has addressed 0 of my concerns in 11 minutes, very epic

Yeah the auto difficulty was the only real problem I had. I was glad when it got harder, I like a challenge. But around chapter 6 it got SO hard! The AI made like 0 mistakes and ended up setting of like 7 chains immediately. I CANT HANDLE THAT!

Nintendo Life should give Chris Scullion a chance to host a video for the ONM UK fans.

Sweet, i was definitely looking forward to hearing Jon's opinion on this game, but of course the entire review was good to hear a breakdown.

Really enjoyed your additional personal feedback at the end of the video Jon! The map feature alone makes me more interested a new adventure mode!

I remember first getting my switch back in 2017 and playing the poyo poyo Tetris demo

Forgot about it and never really played the full game

But after seeing that 15 Second intro

I think I wanna pick it up now
this game has some high-quality waifu material 😂

You can actually play Fever mode as a challenge mode option. Just wanted to adress that real quick.

Edit: also, you can literally get a perfect clear instantly in Skill battle if you get a T, J or L as your first piece, spin it so it's 3 blocks high, and right before it locks, do Ess's Terraformer skill and then right after that Tee's 2 Line Clear skill.

You can also do something similar to that of you have a I peice as one of your first blocks at the satrt of the match, put the other block your start with in the bottom left, use Ess's Terraformer skill right before it locks, you can instantly do a Perfect Clear with a Tetris.
