Your intro had me thinking of the quote: "The most sustainable product is the one you didn't buy" 😊❤️

My husband and I are very fortunate to own a wind generator and solar panels

I would love to see a series on sustainability techniques/products from different countries.

My favourite parts of sustainability are the older things, that my grandparents talk to me about, and I think that it would be different everywhere (and be really useful).

The only thing I would add is don’t beat yourself up ordering from Amazon during a pandemic. I’m probably much older than most of your subscribers. I’m 61 and diabetic so I’ve been using Amazon much more than I used to as I’m trying to stay out of the shops until I’m vaccinated and the pandemic is over. Otherwise all great tips. 👍🏻

Living in the Netherlands I'm automatically registered to vote, because every dutch citizen needs to be registered at their municipality (when they move). With every election, everyone older that 18 y.o. just gets the voting cards in their mailbox automatically.
I'll definately vote in March!
I've also used ecosia for a while now, totally love it!
Great video! Keep it up :D

Thank you so much for this video, Madeleine! Since I got involved in sustainability, a few years ago, I've been suffering of eco-anxiety. Living with my parents and still being a student, I don't really have the economic means to do certain things, yet I find myself struggling mentally. Every day I stress about every single thing that I do, I think about how my actions or what I buy are going to affect the planet. If I have to buy something I start wondering where it was made, who made it, were they paid for it. I stopped eating meat, I only eat fish from time to time and I've drastically cut down on cheeses (I've never drank cow milk so that's not a problem, I love my soy milk) and 4 out of 7 I eat vegan (all my vegetables come from my parents' garden). I haven't bought any fast fashion clothes in over 2 years, but I have problems finding nice comfy vegan shoes that aren't too expensive, so I had to buy them from a non sustainable brand. I've also started buying whatever I can in bulk. I've switched to solid soaps, bamboo toothbrush and menstrual cup. I always try to teach new things to my parents, boyfriend and friends, and whenever I see them making efforts I feel super proud. However, I still feel like I'm not doing enough and I feel like I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. Some days I find myself thinking like we won't be able to save this world and wonder what we're going to leave to our children. Some days I feel so overwhelmed, that I, someone who has always dreamed of having children, start wondering if it would be quite selfish of me to start a family in such difficult times...
I'm sorry if what I wrote doesn't make sense, but I started writing and a sort of stream of consciousness came out.

Love this! I have started a 40 day break from unnecessary spending as part of Lent, really interesting video and very timely, thank you!

Having conversations like these are such an amazing way to inform ourselves more, and later on help others with our knowledge! (I need to do budget down more for sure!)

Thank you Maddie!!!! You reminded me that I DON’T need that plastic organizer from Target, and I can find useful ways to use what I already have. Canceled the item pick-up while watching your video 🤗

I love these lists because you have such a large platform and can influence so many people! It was you that started me on my sustainability journey this past year and your book helped me loads! You make such a difference for so many of us!

I think going on a budget is key-knowing where is most important to allocate the money you make! Also accepting what you can’t change, just doing your best. I’ve been a vegetarian for almost 19 years, almost vegan...but I love cheese. I just moderate and remind myself that all the other sustainable choices I make matter. Thanks for this video, I absolutely loved it.

perfect video, summarises everything i always wanted to say to my family and friends! i love how you talk about systematic racism and stuff like this in relation to climate change, i think that is very important point of the "climate change talk". hope more people will realise how crucial it is and try to make a difference, even with very small steps

I've started washing my hair over the sink with a jug! I can wash my hair (long and thick!) with 1L worth of water using the jug rather than in the shower! 🚿 Loving all these tips! You've really encouraged me to live a LOT more sustainably! ❤️

We all have to live our best life. Mine looks nothing like yours. I'm happy and you are happy... have a great day.

I'm a teacher and I'm looking into what to do to change school food to mostly plantbased vegan food. It's not only awesome for the environment, it could also reduce healthcare cost and solve the obesity issue.

Perfect composting for flats/houses without gardens - wormery. Its amazing, you'd be left with a compost that you can use for potting plants and a worm juice that is a great fertiliser for plants as well. And one by a brand Urbalive also looks amazing (not a budget one but you can also DIY it).

I've just recently switched to them using your referral code. They were much cheaper than bulb energy. Thank you 😊

Thank you so much for the content of this video. It alleviates the guilt I have for not doing enough for the planet. I really like that you articulate your arguments with intersectionality. It's always a pleasure to hear your laugh, it makes me smile every time :).
