The refurb of the wheels added 200% of value to this Audi. Excellent!

I see that car every time I go out. It's the one that sits 2 inches from my back bumper with 'bangin tunes' blasting out then performs the death defying overtake with the bus coming the other way. Well done, Matt, you've 'de boy racered' it 😊

Top tip. Keep your aircon on all the time, for a 1, 000 miles. Sometimes that settles the seals and a regas will then work 😉.

Had an 04 3 door 1.6 petrol for 8 years, bought it at 8 years old and kept it til it was 16 years old, absolutely loved it. So well put together especially the interior, lovely gearbox, the dual climate control was great on a small car of that age, very rare back then. Such a comfortable and pleasant car to drive. Wish I'd kept it.

Living in the tropics, every car you see has those window shields. They're not just wind deflectors, they allow for the windows to be open a crack for ventilation and keep the rain out running or parked. Also you can't see that the windows are open. Oh and it's 30° plus and humid here today😉

You really lifted this car. Getting rid of the horrible black wheels did wonders for it.

Prestige wheels must be giving you a good deal. Full set, strip down, recon, dent removal/rebuild, new base coat and repowder coat for 280 quid is a deal and easily added double that to the value of the car !😄😄

Still got a 2.0 tdi 07 A3 and it's wonderful. 170k miles on the clock and only just had to replace clutch and flywheel from original of 18 years. They don't make them like they used to.

7:58 it actually says, according to my wife, “you will have no worries in middle age, you will have a lot of food and in later life you will be wealthy” or some such shit.

My first and present car is a 07 A3 8p 1.6 sportback. I adore the thing. Have had it Two years never any problems with and is cheap as chips to insure and tax here in Ireland. Great cars !

Wow, you saved that car, therefore doing more for the environment than any new EV purchase!

Welcome to the club Matt. Exactly the same as my runaround car. Thats not an S-Line though. Its a Sport like mine, someones stuck an S-Line badge on the grill.
Sport was just below S-Line so they actually weren’t miles apart spec wise. You still got the hugging sports seats but without s-line written on them, main difference was S-line would have had slightly more agressive front and rear bumpers
Mine is on a 57 plate and is Identical to yours spec wise (minus leather I just have cloth, and the 2.0TDI, I have the very last of the non DPF 1.9TDI’s before the 1.6 TDI’s came in).
I’ve got only 117k on mine and have owned it since 2021. The aircon still blows stone cold and it still has that Audi smell they all had from that era. Call me biased but its a great run-around / second car

My A3 2.0tdi is from 2004 and still going well. I haven't found a car I want to replace it with and yes it's a VW Golf mk4 in a posh wrapper.

I had a 53 reg 2.0 tdi sport 3 door. It was my first proper company car and I thought I was the dogs bollocks! Suspension was too firm but the engine and gearbox was really good. The engine will go forever and they are a really solid car. I'd just want working aircon!

My wife has a 16 year old A3 2.0 TDi too. She’s had it for 12 years and it has never failed its MOT. She loves it and has no desire to get anything more modern. It still drives brilliantly

If you do sell it Matt, then expect to see it tailgating you at some point with the obligatory base ball cap wearing driver mouthing swear words at you for going too slow! It's a lovely car though.
