Can't believe it's 50 yrs ago these songs were hits, I was 9 yrs old at the time and absolutely LOVED Elton Johns Crocodile Rock, still do now thanks for the list Auckland New Zealand 2023

In 1973 I was in High School and always listening to the radio and I lived in my world by listening to music. That's how I coped with things things the time that AM Radio reigned supreme, because most of the current hits were played on AM Band. FM BAND was for listening to the more intense hard Rocking music. 1973 at 17 was when I got my drivers license through Driver's Ed in High School. That Summer I got my 1st job working in a grocery store as a sackboy and also had a car. 1973 till the present 2023 I've been driving for the past 50 years it's hard to believe. Take Care of your driving record because not being able too or not having a car. It's as though one's crippled because it's a privilege to be able to drive. One works for a company or a municipality like being a City or Country employee they'll tell you it's a privilege to drive their vehicles. One wants to have a good driving record if driving is part of your job. 1973 was a good year for me especially with the good music of that year. I'm 68 years old and will still be listening to the music of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. 1973 was a good year for me.

Great list. 1973 is my favorite year for rock & roll music. In my list, "Money" by Pink Floyd and "Ocean" by Led Zeppelin would have been at the top. "The Dark Side of the Moon" is the best album of that year.

Elton really is a legend but to me hes pop! My main deal is your top 10 is a little way too mellow for everyone that I grew up with it was kick ass, which Skynyrd is but 4th, rock and roll! Not knocking your music because it's all good! We were listening to like Scorpions, AC DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple Sabbath, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Foghat!
