Imagine sending your daughter away to her dream college that she worked so hard to get in.

She dates someone for a while then breaks up with him. He goes out drinking with his buddies and as they console him, they joke around about him getting back at her by impregnating her - then, by law, she could never get rid of him. In a drunken stupor, he goes to her dorm room and does just that. He feels so badly and apologizes the next day.

There's no point in pressing charges, as they had a relationship and his lawyer would say it was consensual. 9 months later, after dropping out of college, she gives birth. In 39 states, rapists have parental rights of visitation.

He visits his child only occasionally as he's in school getting his Masters.

This is the world young women now live in.
