Physical silver can provide peace of mind however, if you have to sell your bullion, for a loss, when emergencies arise there's very little satisfaction in that. There is a way to help mitigate the financial impact to your stack from whatever emergency. It's making a budget and being consistent in following it.

My farther in law is a wise man. He always said save a little from every check. His smallest check was like 50 bucks. He said he saved 10 out of that. He owned 3 homes and gave each of his daughters a home. He worked hard and never was given a hand out. I could never save like he said. UNTIL I started stacking SILVER. I take a little from my check to add to my stack. To emotional to my silver to sell. One day though. THANKS SILVER JOKER.

You nailed it on this one! I started stacking in 2013 and I will be honest and say I fell into the trap you were talking about here..Joker, I got so bad at it that my wife would want to go out to a restaurant and I would try to talk her out of it because I knew that the price of our meal would be at least 2 to 3 ounces of Silver...lol...luckily I never had a financial emergency as to where I had to sell any of my stack..I was raised fairly poor and once I got to hold my first 100oz bar of silver and a few ounces of gold and realize it was mine it totally consumed me...Now I do more like you, I set a goal of how many ounces I want to buy per year and I stick to it.., If i fall a few ounces short well It is what it is but then the next year I may be able to make up for it and add some extra weight to my stack..Anyway all new stackers need to see this I know is absolutely sucks to have a stack of fiat currency in your possession but hang on to it in case of an emergency..then when you have your emergency stack any extra can go to a few ounces...One thing I want to add is remember, we are stacking wealth when some are looking for food so let the urge to buy that extra ounce go and go buy $25 worth of non perishable food and donate it to those in need..Im not sure about other places but here a lot of churches and even convenient stores have drop boxes set

I recently started stacking, and I bought what I thought was enough for now....but then....a great deal came up on 80% silver Canadian coins. I didn't want to miss out, and there is still a box of it that is mine to pick clean.
I spent the extra cash I had but my bank account is good. No debt, no mortage (I rent).
I look at stacking as wealth preservation. Flipping isn't my thing but I know I could make a few dollars if I really needed the money.

Listen, I love silver, I have a decent stack...BUT food, fuel, and AMMO are the best investment you can have...because we are going to see some shit happen soon. And another important thing....there is strength and knowledge in numbers, so have some numbers!

Sometimes when silver dips it's only for a short moment, and it could be a day, it could be a week, and you could be going through something in life, or on vacation, it's easy to miss...especially if you're waiting for the dip.
Good advice to buy on a regular basis.

I have been constantly going to my LCS weekly with the same budget for about 3 years now. So far I haven’t had to sell anything because of any emergency. Hopefully I keep up my stacking on this good pace.

I wish we had an LCS. I'm getting it all online, mostly the bank, but I just found a new smaller online dealer. Trying for 2 to 3oz silver a month. (Covid times have to be careful with the budget). If I get 3oz the bank ships for free so that's best. But I plan to stack for the next 15 to 20 years.
