Koh Samui Resotel & AirAsia flight back to BKK (9.26-27.2013)

We came to Koh Samui from BKK by train and took Airasia flight back to BKK. Either by train or Airasia flight, it is very time-consuming. but it's a different experience, no compliant. :) Oh! the ferry (I should have not said it 'cruise' in video, may got ppl wrong image, apology!...:P) from Sura Thani to Koh Samui in train combination ticket package is way much more comfy than from Koh Samui to Nakhon Si Thammarat in the Airasia combination ticket package.

Going between BKK and Koh Samui:
TRANSPORTATION FEE:
*AirAsia round trip. combination ticket (ferry + bus transfer): ~USD50/person
*1 free carry on luggage up to 8 kg. any extra costs ~USD10 to allow carry-on luggage up to 20 kg

HOW:
From Samui Resotel to Lipa Noi Pier (RAIA ferry port): taxi paid 600 bahts, about 30 mins (bcoz it's early morning 5:40, no traffic & it's fast.)

At Lipa Noi Pier: claimed the ferry ticket to Donsak pier in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Thailand. the ferry ride took about 1.5 hr.

When arrived Donsak pier, we had to take a bus for almost 2 hrs to go to the Nakhonsithammarat airport back to BKK.

From Nakhonsithammarat airport, it's about 50 mins flight to BKK, arrived at old airport 'Don Mueang International Airport'.
See, it could be tiring. BUT, we chose this way because we wanted to experience Thailand night train and the bus. So, it is an experience! We had expected how long it would take. so, it's fine. BTW, the total airasia or train fee probably is 1/4 or 1/5 (maybe promotion price or early flight, also depending on season) of the air fare of a direct flight from BKK to Koh Samui, in other words, we exchanged our time to buy money??! well, anyway, like I said, it's an experience!

About Samui Resotel:
(Just to share my thoughts. Too many nice hotel at Koh Samui. You could always find a good deal suits your needs)
We stayed 2 nights in late Sep, 2013 as a couple. (it's a standard that each of their room has an extra single bed)

Likes:
1. Nice beach just a few walks from our room;
3. there's one good moped rental store just right in front of the hotel that makes return easy (if told them as the guest of samui resotel, it's fine without the original passport for rental);
5. we enjoyed a leisure day at the lovely resort pool ordering the beers from the pool bar and then rent a ski jet just a few steps away from the hotel beach and had lots of fun.
6. the staff surprised my husband by sending him a very nice birthday cake (not that kind of cheap looking cake) that we both did not expect.

DIslikes:
1. After checked in and got into the room, we found the bed had some white nice smell powders all sprinkled on the bed sheet cover. It might be the housekeeper to make the sheets smell fresh... Firstly I did not know how and where the powders got on my hands, arms and legs, it took a whie to realize where it came from. We called the front desk and they send house keeper to change it right away.
2. every time we passed by the hall way to our room (3rd floor), we always hear the electricy arcing, it kind of bother us, guess the staff might take a look and call someone to check it out.
