First time I heard this song was when I was living in Akiba Langata in Nairobi, Kenya. I was 8 years (over 35 years ago) old and a friend of mine named Patrick had died from pneumonia. he was in a black coffin with a goosed-down lining. We were all sad but Patrick had said goodbye to all of us and His momma Edie could no longer watch him suffer. He had on an osh kosh begosh overall. I don't know why I remember that to this day but I do. Just thought of him today.
