Back in the late 90s I catch all 151 Pokémon in my yellow version.
My friends brother knew how to clone so he would sell you Mew which no one could get at the time, I had friends with the red and blue versions to trade Alakazam, Golem, Machamp and Gengar.
I remember the diploma, eventually I got bored and restarted it to play again and 20 plus years later I am trying to get all 151 Kanto pokemon on my FireRed version.

You’d be awesome considering you need Pokémon red or blue to get some of the Pokémon, also meaning you need a second gameboy

As childish as it is, it’s a BIG flex in the Pokémon community. Pokémon Yellow is a hard game to complete the dex if you ain’t got Blue and Red

A Gameboy printer is on my wishlist list of "random old Gameboy accessories" for this exact reason.

Fun fact: There's actually a yellow Pokemon/Pikachu version of the printer, too!
