I'm a doctor. The fight-flight-freeze response is activated after getting shot in the arm. The amygdala then processes fear which signals the hypothalamus to stimulate the autonomic nervous system. This in turn triggers both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The former is responsible for your fight or flight response while the latter freezes you up; it depends on the dominant pathway at the time. Presumably, valorant agents have suffered from a quite sizeable amount of PTSD given that they have to clutch the game after their team mates proved to be trash, which unfortunately triggers the parasympathetic response and makes them lock up when getting shot in the arm.

I’m a medical student and I can say that when you get shot in the arm or hand you will lose blood and your body will be in an emergency state where there is 2 options generally either A)you enter in a fight or flight response due to high levels of adrenaline and noradrenaline causing you to run faster than your regular speeds and this lasts for a while or B)your body enters a severe shock state called hemorrhagic shock and make you slower and if not treated you will enter a coma then after some time death may occur.

Well my dads a doctor and when I asked him that he said that there are a lot of muscles and veins in the arm and if those were to get wounded it can give the injured person a muscle cramp slowing them down or just paralyze them for a moment

The "Scatter" thing actually does make sense. You don't always know where he is going to teleport, so the opposing team "scatters" to try to find Omen before he becomes a threat, and he knows it.

Omen says "scatter" when he uses ult because in order to teleport, he needs to let go of his body, his astral, unphysical body or whatever. He needs to do that. He needs to let go of his hold keeping his body together. It's in one of his voicelines. They mention how omen only manages to stay whole because of his cloak and his hold of his body, he literally needs to "scatter" to teleport. They also mention how painful omen feels when he lets go of it. Just a fun fact.
